Silk Press/ Blow Out On Soft Hair

I hear a lot of women say that their hair is so soft that it will not hold curls or keep styles long unless they are hard.  This client has the softest hair I have felt, especially with natural hair.  She came in for a silk press for an event that she wanted to go to.  In addition to her hair being soft, it was also fine so for that reason I did not want to do her hair very straight because that would make it look thin.  Instead I added curls to give it some fullness and extra body.

I started by using Silk Hydration products including the clarifying shampoo, moisturizing shampoo, daily conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and miracle potion- in that order!  I did not add oil to her hair afterwards because since her hair is so soft it would only weigh it down.

After blowing her hair dry I then began the silk press process by flat ironing with the ceramic flat iron.  I did not have to use high heat so I had the flat iron on 370 degrees.

To maintain her hair she can use the large flexi rods to roll it up at night and finger comb it in the mornings.
