How To Grow Your REAL Hair While Wearing Wigs (week 22) |
This week I did not document the entire process of what I did because I am in vacation mode. This post was done the day before I was going on vacation and that was all that was on my mind at the time. I do however explain exactly what I did and even if you have not been following this series you will not be lost. This week I took my hair completely down from being braided up. I first shampooed it with the Silk Hydration by L. Jones Extreme Clean Shampoo. Next, I followed that up by shampooing with the Extreme Moisture Shampoo. Then I conditioned with the Replenishing Conditioner and let this sit for about 5-10 minutes (no heat). After rinsing that, I towel dried and generously applied the Leave-In Conditioner. I combed that all the way through my hair, put my silk scarf around my edges (to lay them down) and let the rest of my hair air dry. The next day I blow dried the rest and went and had it braided straight to the back.

This week I wanted very little heat to be applied to my hair which is why I let it air dry first. That way I did not have to apply much heat to get it to 100% dry. My hair typically does not dry completely when I air dry it but when I blow dried it I only had to use medium heat for not even five minutes. I try to only apply heat to my hair when it is absolutely necessary. Below is the wig I wore for the week while on vacation.
