How To Grow Your Hair (& Keep It Healthy) While Wearing Weave (week 6)

I feel like I say this every single week, but I am really enjoying this series! It is by far my favorite series so far. The reason why is because I get to experiment with my hair in so many different ways. I can curl it, color it, and cut it with no consequences and that feeling is amazing. And the best part about it is that my real hair is being taken care of and is still healthy underneath the wig. Keeping your real hair is KEY when it comes to wearing wigs. Why? Because wearing weave should always be an option, not a requirement. I want to change the perception that people only wear weave only because they have no hair. I want people to know that you can have a head full of hair underneath your wigs, sew-ins, braids, etc. That is what this series is all about. Let's jump right into week 6.

This week I chose to wear Kelly 2.0 or the Kelly remix. That simply means that I took my Kelly wig and styled it differently to give it a new look. I did this to show that you can take one wig and get multiple looks.
This week I did not shampoo my hair. Instead I left the braids up from week 5. To prep my hair I did oil my scalp thoroughly to keep it moisturized. After the oil was applied I then massaged it in my scalp to keep the blood flow circulating, which leads to hair growth!
