How To Stretch Your Relaxer Past 6 Weeks (Series-week 21)

I don't think anyone is excited as I am that only about two more weeks stand between me and my relaxer! I know technically its three weeks, but on the third week that will be relaxer day so I don't have to go the whole third week with three inches of new growth! Hip hip hurray!! This week I did my hair straight again and surprisingly I am able to get my hair straighter as I go up in weeks. Strange right? Well, I'm sure is is because each week I get more new growth and the more you have, the easier it is to handle. It is much harder to handle one inch versus three in my opinion because when you have more, you can flat iron more.

This week I have been wrapping my hair super tight to ensure that my hair stays straight. Also, we have not had rain in a very long time in Alabama, which has also been a benefit to my hair by not allowing the humidity to make it revert back.

This week I used the Extreme Clean Shampoo twice. The reason why I love this shampoo so much is because after a week of not shampooing my hair, it tends to get oily and lose all of the body that it had in it. Using the Extreme Clean gets all of the dirt, oil, and residue not only from products but from elements in the environment out of my hair so that I can start with a clean slate. I then put the moisture back in with the Replenishing Conditioner which makes my hair feel so incredible soft. I then use the Leave-In Conditioner which helps me to detangle, as well as adds an extra layer of moisture and also serves as a heat protectant. This is why I am very generous with the Leave-In.  I let my hair air dry for a little while before blow drying and flat ironing. After I flat iron, I immediately wrapped my hair until it was time for me to leave the house. Once I unwrapped it, it fell exactly like I wanted it to.
