How To Stretch Your Relaxer Series (week3)

This week was another easy week for the series.  I simply shampooed my hair with Silk Hydration by L. Jones Clarifying Shampoo, then followed up with Silk Hydration by L. Jones Moisturizing Shampoo.  After that I skipped the creme conditioner and instead used the Silk Hydration by L. Jones Leave-In.  I did this because my hair tends to get a bit oily pretty quickly during the week.  Using the leave-in conditioner instead allows my hair to make its own moisture instead of adding it with the creme conditioner.  Next, I just combed it straight down and put some foam wrap on it.  Then I let it air dry until the next morning.  The next day I just flat ironed it.  My roots were still straight from the relaxer so no extra effort was required.

Here is the video footage:

Remember, this is still the easy part!  The real work will begin around week six.  So have fun with your hair this week.  You can still enjoy roller sets and they won't look grandma-ish kind of big like when it is relaxer time.  Honestly you could rock any style right about now and it will look great since you still have that freshly-relaxed vibe still going on.  My hair does look noticeably longer since my last relaxer, and I can see why since I did have four inches of new growth!  But it is actually nice to notice it, and my clients have noticed as well!  When you start seeing actual growth the relaxer stretching will all seem worth it.
