Black Lives Matter vs. "Black on Black Crime"

So, the most recent police killing involves yet another unarmed man, Terence Crutcher, whose car had broken down. Every time this happens there is outrage in the black community, as it should be. But then you have "others" who ask questions like why does the black community get enraged when a police officer kills one of our men, yet black people kill each other all the time and it seems to be accepted. For the record, that is not the case at all. But these people that ask this question are missing such an obvious point. In cases of these police officers killing black men who are unarmed, have their hands up, and pose no threat AT ALL to these police officers somehow still end up SHOT AND KILLED even with VIDEOTAPE EVIDENCE! These police officers are sent home on PAID leave, regardless of the fact that there is a VIDEOTAPE of exactly what happened, and once they go to trial they end up being acquitted, despite the VIDEOTAPE EVIDENCE! Now, let's look at a different scenario. Let's say there is a case of two black men and one killed the other and there was the same videotape evidence. Do you think that the black man who did the killing would sit at home while he waited on his trial? Do you think that once there is a trial that the black man who did the killing would get off scott free? The answer is NO! As soon as the videotape evidence surfaced of the killing, the black man that actually did the killing would go straight to jail with no questions asked! Do you think the black man that did the killing could use the excuse that he felt like his life was in danger even when the man that was killed was unarmed? NO! In these cases, especially where there is as much evidence as there is in a videotape, justice is served. However, in the cases of these police officers shooting unarmed black men, justice is nowhere to be found. THAT is the difference. We want justice for these lives taken. We want these officers to be held accountable for their actions. We want them to know that these actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We want them to know that black lives DO matter!
