Silk Press on Natural Hair

So this silk press is one for the record books.  This client by far had the most hair than any other client than I've ever seen before!  She fooled me because when she first came in she had this cute little bun, but when she took it down my, my, my!  It is safe to say she has a lot of hair!  Let me take you through her visit..

The first thing I did was shampoo with Silk Hydration by L. Jones Extreme Clean Clarifying Shampoo because she told me that her hair hasn't been shampooed in a few weeks  So in order to get all traces of dirt, oil, and residue off of the hair and give it that squeaky clean feeling, that was the best shampoo to use.  I did this three times to ensure that I start with a clean slate.  Next I followed up with Silk Hydration by L. Jones Daily Conditioner.  She wasn't experiencing any problems with her hair being dry which is why I chose not to use the Intense Moisturizing Treatment.  My Daily Conditioner provides the silky feeling yet is still light enough to be used every day and still give the hair tons of movement and body.

The next step was to detangle the hair.  I sprayed Silk Hydration by L. Jones  Leave-In Conditioner throughout the hair which helps make the hair easier to comb through, adds an extra layer of moisture, and provides some heat protection. After detangling I blew it out.  The above picture shows after I blew it out.  I had no idea it was this long and thick! I got extremely excited!!  Now on to the fun part...

Anyone that is a frequent reader of this blog knows that I just love, love, LOVE straight hair but she wanted it a little bit curly on the ends.  These are the after pics.  I can't wait to get in her head again, it was tons of fun!
Afterwards I lightly sprayed some Silk Hydration by L. Jones Miracle Potion no9 in her hair which gives it shine and helps control the frizz.  To maintain this she can roll it with large rollers on the ends.  The smaller the roller, the tighter the curl will be, and with her hair this long it will be hard to wrap it.
