Short Cut on Relaxed Hair

This client has had a relaxer since before she started coming to me, however when she first became my client she had hair down her back.  She got tired of that so she got layers, then when she got tired of that she got a layered bob, then she got it shaved in the back but it was still long in the front, then finally she wanted it shaved on the sides and in the back.  Nevertheless, her hair is healthy and has been for years.  She got her hair cut as an option, not as a necessity.

This client will actually be getting a relaxer soon, but I wanted to show you that even short hair that is not freshly relaxed still looks good!  I started by using Silk Hydration by L. Jones Products on her hair to shampoo and condition.  Before putting her under the dryer, I molded her hair straight down almost like I was wrapping it.  The great thing about short hair is that dryer time is little to none so she didn't sit under there long at all.

After she was dry, I curled with a very small flat iron (I love flat irons), sprayed some Silk Hydration by L. Jones Miracle Potion on it and voila.

To maintain this look she will put on her wrap cap which covers the sides and back but leaves the top exposed.  She comes in every two weeks to get it done so we'll see what we do next week. She may choose to flip it.
