Silk Press/Natural Hair

It seems as though natural girls are taking over my appointment book.  Not that I mind, but I remember a time when I didn't do natural hair at all.  I had a client that I didn't really realize was natural because her curl pattern was so loose although she had really thick and long hair.  She wanted it straightened which seemed easy enough so I did it and the next thing I know she told somebody who told somebody who told somebody and before I knew it, I was doing natural hair.

This client was a classmate of mine.  She recently cut all of her relaxed hair off, but she did it herself so it didn't have a shape to it because she just randomly started chopping one day.  We decided to do a layered style and curl it in the layers.  I began by shampooing and conditioning her hair with Silk Hydration by L. Jones Clarifying and Moisturizing shampoo.  I followed with the Silk Hydration by L. Jones Intense Moisturizing Treatment.  After rinsing I began to blow the hair out.

This is how the hair looked completely blown out and before I cut it.  Now before any of you comment or email me about how much I cut, let me say that I was ASKED, I repeat, ASKED to cut her hair.  It tickles me how mad some of you get when another woman cuts her hair as if you cut your own.  Anywho, I layered it and curled it after the blow out...

And here are the after pics:

After styling I sprayed some of my Silk Hydration Miracle Potion no9 which is an anti-frizz spray that also doubles as a shine enhancing spray to get the finished product which you see here.

To take care of this she will just wrap it nightly.  To get the layers back she can use the end of her rat tail comb or her fingers to pull them back out.
