My Lace Front Wig Creation (Melanie)

Today I finished a wig that I've been making for myself.  This is the first time that I've made a lace front for myself and so far so good!  It took a little tweaking and playing around with it to get it just right but for the most part I'm pleased.

Now on to the details.  I started by using hair from my very own L. Jones Hair Collection.  The hair used was Indian (virgin) silky straight in 16, 18 & 20 inch with a 12 inch closure.  I started by first washing the hair with Silk Hydration by L. Jones clarifying and moisturizing shampoo, followed by the Intense Moisturizing Treatment.  I then started sewing the hair onto the cap.  Once finished I just curled it with the one inch curling wand.
The hair is very soft and moves well, and holds curls even better.  I call wig Melanie and now that she is finished I'm putting her on the shelf until it gets a litle colder. I don't know if it was because I was already hot but wearing this just around the house made me hot!

Once I get ready to wear Melanie I'm pretty sure I'm going to have lots of fun with her.  I can see it now, cute outfit, boots, makeup and Melanie!  And the best part about it is that my hair is wrapped underneath so zero damage is done to my hair! Winning!  Forgive me for all of the exclamation points but I get so excited when I get new hair.. Stay tuned for when I make this all come together...
