Hair Transformation- Cut & Layers on Relaxed Hair

First of all, let me tell everyone Happy 4th of July! Yes I know I'm late, but I was on vacation so better late than never right? The two people you see in the picture are both my cousins (brother and sister) who I got the pleasure of seeing for our family reunion.  The young lady is the cousin whose hair I just had to get my hands on.  As you can see, she has color in her hair that has damaged her hair pretty badly.  I couldn't let her go another day while I was around with her hair looking like that.  I ended up cutting it for her, which I cut most of the color completely out and advised her against any more color in the future.

I did not shampoo it because by the time we started it was too late so I figured I would do the most important part and she could handle the rest.  I cut it in layers and the only reason I didn't cut all of the color out is because I knew she didnt want it extremely short.  She can put a black rinse on her hair to cover the rest of the colored part but I did cut all of the split ends off.  After, I flat ironed it. Check out the after pic.

I thought I took more pics but again, it was late, I was tired, and this is the only one that I see, but you get a pretty good idea of how much better it looks with something as simple as a trim.  Ladies, don't waste your money on products claiming to fix split ends.  The only way to fix them is to CUT them! You will see a positive change immediately.  Now imagine how this would have looked if I would have conditioned it with Silk Hydration by L. Jones. Don't have yours?
