Flawless Sew-In With Lots of Versatility

I absolutely love doing sew-ins on people who have never gotten them before. There is something about the way they are so nervous but once I turn them around in chair so that they see the finished product for the first time and their face lights up.. That is priceless.  This is a client whose hair I have done before but she has now decided to get a sew in for the first time.

Like all newbies, she was nervous, but I assured her that she would be pleased.  She got virgin Brazilian straight hair that was 12in long.

To prep the hair (weave), I shampooed it several times with a clarifying shampoo.  Next I deep conditioned it with Silk Hydration by L. Jones and let it sit overnight.  The next day I rinsed it out and dried it.

Once she came in for her appointment I shampooed her hair, conditioned it, let dry, then begin her sew in.  I left about one inch of her edges out so that she would be able to pull it up if she wanted to.  Here is how it would look if she wanted to do a high ponytail or bun.

For now she is wearing it down and says she loves it.  This sew in should last about three months and she can maintain it by shampooing anc conditioning regularly, just as if it were her real hair.  At night she can wrap it or put her bonnet on.
