More Info On Silk Hydration by L. Jones Intense Moisturizing Treatment

I know I recently did a post on my first conditioner along with a giveaway to five lucky readers (see here).  Well today I would like to give a more in-depth overview on exactly what it is and what it does.

Silk Hydration by L. Jones is the name of my entire hair care line.  Under that line will include the actual products, the first being the intense moisturizing treatment.  This treatment is for hair that is damaged and/or dry.  In that case you would use the treatment once per week until hair reaches its healthy state.  It could also  be used on healthy hair as a preventative treatment in order to keep hair healthy.  For healthy hair, use the treatment 1-2 times per month.

I created this treatment because I have searched and searched for the perfect conditioner and never found one that I was 100% happy with.  A lot of the others that I used were great but I would have liked them better if a few more ingredients were added.  I wanted a treatment that aided in hair growth as well as something that would make the hair feel extremely soft.  I did lots of research and combined that with my experience as a stylist on what ingredients I wanted in it and came up with a formula that I am happy with.

Here is a list of ingredients that are included and why I used each.

  • Argan oil- Argan oil aids in the growth of hair, nourishes the hair, enhances the hair's elasticity, help strengthen damaged hair, cures brittleness in hair, is safe on color treated hair, and adds luster and shine to hair.  No wonder they call it "liquid gold"!
  • Jojoba oil- Jojoba oil also aids in hair growth, as well as nourishes the hair, aids in reducing hair loss due to scalp issues, and helps keep the scalp healthy.
  • Olive oil-  Olive oil aids in preventing hair loss, encourages a healthy scalp, aids in decreasing dandruff, aids in hair growth.
  • Aloe-  Aloe aids in hair growth, has properties that help alleviate dandruff and itching, adds strength and luster to hair, helps retain water and moisture, and is an excellent conditioning agent.
  • Vitamin A- Helps protect the hair from damage, improves moisture and luster to the hair.
  • Vitamin E- Helps improve blood circulation in the scalp which increases hair growth, and maintains the health of the scalp.
I also added a few more hair loving ingredients as well, so you can see everything I put in here was put there to help repair damaged hair and to help grow the hair.  These ingredients combined with the softening ingredients is what make the hair feel amazing.  I absolutely love the results I get each time I use it.  I'm pretty sure I won't be using any other conditoner on my hair than my very own product.  I'm very happy with it, and although it smells just ok now, that is something that will definitely change in the future.  I have already picked one out and will add that in future batches.  The thing I was more worried about was how it made the hair feel and since I have that out of the way, I will now perfect the smell.

I encourage you to try my intense moisturizing treatment once and give me your feedback.  I would love to hear what you think about it!  And the best part about it is that if there is a general concern about something, I can easily change it.  That is the great thing about being in charge of every single ingredient that goes into it.
