Keratin Treatment Update (Week 3)

Week #3 of having the keratin treatment and my roots are still very thick.  I can still see a difference in the amount of frizz I have though has definitely decreased.  Also, it is still easier for me to straighten it although I do have to take thin sections.  This week I cut my hair in layers myself and curled it.  I haven't had to put any more heat on it this week at all.  I've just been wrapping it every day and it has obeyed my every command :)

Products I used:
Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo- I shampooed with this twice.  If you read the last post, I mentioned that I used this because I was intentionally trying to strip the rest of the keratin treatment out.  I am doing this because I am very ready to get my relaxer again.  It's going on six months which is my stretching goal.  Also, I love to start my hair with a clean slate so that I can add my own moisture back in.

Silk Hydration Intense Moisturizing Treatment- I applied this and let sit for about an hour.  Why? Because I was at home on my day off and let it sit as I did other things around the house.  The next thing I knew an hour had gone by.  I have noticed that the longer it sits (without heat) the better it makes the hair feel.

Check out a few more pics of my layered look.

  1. You did a phenomenal job cutting your layers!
    Your hair looks so pretty!

  2. Looks great! Doesnt seem like you need a relaxer soon! Next time try brazilian Blow out zero. Lasts muchlonger Than 3 weeks.

  3. Good result. Totally how many days or week we need to follow this treatment? Some of my friends told it may take 3 to 4 month. I don’t know the exact duration of for this treatment.

    1. Follow the treatment until all of your hair goes back to its natural state. They can last up to months
