MG:  I'm a 31 year old native of Birmingham, AL,and I have been in the industry for 11 years. I've always had a passion for hair and decided to take up the trade after a break from college. I've never looked back and continue to embark on new and exciting ventures that this business has to offer.

LJ:  What is your personal hair care regimen?
MG:  My personal hair care regimen consist of: Shampooing and conditioning my hair once a week, with a steam treatment every other week, due to having color on my hair. I also trim my ends every 6-8 weeks.
LJ:  Are you natural or relaxed?
MG:  My hair has been natural for 8yrs. It was a personal choice, I love to wear color and that's hard to do with a relaxer, and I also feel that my hair much more healthier.
LJ:  If a client came in with extreme damage and breakage due to getting color and not taking care of her hair properly, how would you nurse it back to health and what would be your advice for the client on home maintenance?
MG:  After analyzing the hair I would establish a weekly routine of reconstructive and moisturizing treatments, As for at home maintenance I would recommend no heat and  proper hair preservation techniques(silk pillows, etc.)
